Pace Clocking ticket...
Anybody know anything about how cops can give this ticket? They don't use a radar or laser, and just basically guess!? Is there any certain distance that they have to (manditory distance) travel with you to tell?

i think. planes do this by your time it take to travel past so many dashed lines... and in car must mainttian a constant speed of for 5 or so seconds... behind you...

the pace clocking ticket is bullshit, because the speedo in cop cars are usually off, they can do it in a plane because the count how long it took you to travel between a certain number of lines, (thats why they all seem to have been resprayed recently) fight it and you will win because that has been proven an inaccurate method of clocking.

Cop cars have certified speedometers and must get them recalibrated regularly. One way to get out of a pacing ticket is to ask the officer to produce his speedo calibration certificate. If its out of date, you get out of the ticket. I would think though that if a cop were pacing cars he would make sure and have his cert up to date though, but you never know.
