A lot of people buy into the whole CHEAP SPEED image dodge wanted to convey of the srt-4 when in reality, cheap speed = used car.

 

got to get orange they are faster!

 

I prefer the 1st gen neons for handling. My srt4 does enough for me for now. I can still do double the suggested speed around turns and that's about as hard as I push it.

 

There is still one new one at the Dodge dealer on US19 in Clearwater. I wanna say it's Autoway. AND ITS ORANGE!!!!

Alot of the crap you hear is true. But it's usually because you have idiots behind the wheel. As far as handling, I can personally say that from factory it's not the best. But it's nothing some coilovers and sway bars can't fix. Believe me, it's a hell of a difference.

Only pro for the WRX/STi is the awd factor. Personally I'm not a fan of boxer motors and from what i've seen they're a bit of a PITA to work on. But yes, parts are def. more expensive.

If you're gonna go SRT4 you've got a ton of options. Spend a little cash, and get mopar parts or go aftermarket and save urself some money.

I personally have not had any issues with mine except for stuff that I've done to it (aftermarket). And to be quite frank it's been runnin' like a champ.

 

There's an Orange one displayed out front at Autoway Dodge. They also have a white one outside their smaller showroom, a red one inside their showroom, as well as one black, another orange, and two more red ones outside. Tarpon dodge (formerly Plaza Dodge) has two red ones and recently sold me their last black one. The SRT-4's handle okay stock, but a world of difference is seen once sway bars are added. Spend $400 for sway bars, get 95% of the thrills, and save yourself $5K.
