have you ever washed your vehicle??
have you ever washed your vehicle??
So as apart of outprosessing through Iraq all vehicles and equipment have to be washed from top to bottom before being shipped back to the states or in my case back to germany. Then the vehicles have to be pre-inspected by a national gaurd unit for a formal inspection done by navy customs personel. You would not believe how thorough these inspections are. They look in every nook and cranny possilbe! There can't be a speck of dirt on anything! Considering that I'm in an engineer unit the dirt is seemlingly endless! We have to wash 30 some dozers, 20 scrappers, three five yard front end loaders, two 2 1/2 yard front end loaders, four 250,000lb cranes, 20 graders, at least 35 20 ton dump trucks, 6 or 7 seven vibe rollers, 7-8 high speed compactors, and at least 50 trailers to include water buffalos and hauling trailers! I'm going nuts here! Every single piece of the above listed equipment has spent a year in the desert! We are working 24 hour operations split into 12 hour shifts. In total we have 160 pieces total! The only thing that keeps me going is the titties and beer at the end of the tunnel! I'm so glad that I'm not in 3 infantry division as they have 1,600 pieces of equipment to include m1 tanks, m88 recovery tanks, and countless hmmwvs! Any way I'll quit ranting for now cause I only have a couple hours left before I have to get back to work. Just thought I'd share my experience with ya'll.

Don't take life so serious. It's not like were getting out of it alive anyway.

I'm on a strict 3 month rule, I'm too lazy to do it anymore than that.
I remember back in the first Gulf War they did a news story on TV about washing the armor bfore it comes home. It was pretty extensive, I quess that sand is like fine powder and gets into everything. It would be nice to get some rain there and help prewash them.
3 Times I had to do it. Flippin blew monkey nuts sitting there trying to get every bit of crap off of it only to get to the rail head and have to do it again cause you got mud and stuff on it on the way there lol.
