The civic, well when wasn't it down? The vette had to wait a week for an ac compressor, i know how it is bro! Don't u love how when your car is in the shop you see all the nice other cars you could be out crusin with? Oh well when you get it back it feels a million times better cuz it's been "so long"!

 

I had my Mustang down for FOUR months back when I was 19. The car was undergoing a motor swap, transmission rebuild, rearend swap, misc wiring, and a 4-point cage. The shop dicked me around completely. It should have only taken a few weeks at most as most of the major components came off a wrecked donor car sitting there at the shop.

 

2nd car about 5months getting a repaint and a bodykit installed

this car around 6 months getting it fixed body wise and then got my 2nd motor built... was horrible

 

I've had two down for months:

2002 WRX was wrecked and it took 7 months to repair
2004 Cobra pretty much a downward spiral of downtime over the year I owned it.. I believe it was down for 3 months when I did the turbo kit - and the guy that owns it now has it down too for a solid rear end and an auto.


My current truck and the z06 I sold had 0 days downtime. Unlike Kirks webserver

 

Um, I have been car-less since July...Don't get a car till July 06....

 

Mine is been down for about a week at the longest. I had a fuel pump problem and couldnt fidure that fucker out. Happen to be a fuel pump relay that had been nigga rigged

 

about 2 weeks, the oil pump failed and I didn't have the time or place at the moment to do it myself so off to the shop it went. And then the clutch slave cylinder blew out a few weeks ago and I was just too lazy to fix it for a week or so.

other than that I drive it all the time

 

9 months down for the 5.0 swap. bout coulda killed the shop doing it. same boat as Alan...donor car in the yard.

2 years and counting down this time for too short driveshaft/messed up tranny/no money to fix.
