I like the site just fine, but there are only two changes I'd like to see.
1. It'd be nice to have a "PM User" button somewhere on each person's post, so you can drop someone a PM from inside a thread
2. Not sure if this is even possible, but it'd be even nicer to have the two different designs/color schemes be able to detect certain font colors and change them automatically for better contrast/readability. That way someone using "day" can read type set in a lighter color without highlighting, etc.

FFA was moved to TF because it made TR difficult to manage at times. It brought a large amount of people who werent into cars, who didnt contribute anything in tech sections and who created a bunch of problems. The general impression from everyone was that TR should be about cars.. populated by car people with content about cars and things related to them.
Now your proposing bringing back the very FFA section that created all the issues to begin with. In one half you are glad that element is gone and then in the next sentence asking for it back. If TR has an offtopic area.. its going to end up like it was before. Its going to bring back the kids, the post whores and be exactly like it was before.
I'd rather see us invest our time in such things as timeslip databases, event coverage, product/car reviews etc etc. You know, car related stuff. Not cluttering up the site with all the offtopic crap. TF has a perfectly good spread of offtopic sections.
for some reason (and it seems to be alot more lately) you TR people are unhappy that we cleaned the site up and made it alot more usable. you have this dislike of TF for some reason. you seem to think as admins/owners we put alot more time and effort into TF than TR and that your not getting the attention you deserve. Thats wrong, TR is still the bigger site. TR has banner advertsing at Braedenton, TF has nothing like that. TR events costs money to put on, involve 100+ racers and 300-500 spectators. .and make the site money.. TF events have maybe $50 and make nothing. TR has had ALOT more money spent on design, coding and advertsing than TF. A large number of us admins spend alot more time on TR than TF (split is about 50%). TR is why we have the big server, and why we might need another. TR 4 sale is still much much much larger than TF.
So thinking TF is the focus is just wrong. TR works, it runs 10x smoother now without the extra baggage of a free 4 all. Especially when a perfectly cool FFA area is just a click away. TR is about to get a redesign soon to distinguish it from TF so there is no mistaking which site your on.
TR is not a spinoff from TF. TF is the spinoff, the baby brother.
Lastly. If you have issues, ideas, pet peeves, annoyances or just want to vent about the site, PM me. I'm always open to criticism and ideas and I might just have a perspective on an issue your not aware of. Best way to find out what our plans are is to ask.

i do understand that i said one thing and then said another.tf toke alot of the kid shit with it.i am happy with the site and i thank u guys for giving us users a place where we can chat and make meets and all get together and talk cars.i well say i hate tampa forums and alot of the people on it and yes i'm even talking about some of the mods who act like kids.i look at it like this tr is more the adult forums vs tf being the lil kid area.its just my 2 cents alot of us only go onto the other site for certian stuff and then are right back on tr.i do understand that tf is new and it does take time and effort to get up and going so it can be like tr.i have no problem with that and i dont understand why people are crying about that.by u guys doing that it makes tr a better place.and agian i will say thank u for giving us users a place where we can talk cars.also i seen on a diff forum the had a section where u could list your combo and the nums it ran or produced and u could see what parts work good with each other and so on from seeing other peoples combos.et calculators and stuff like that would be cool to have to.if u guys need any help finding stuff like this i will help.
