I had a red top in the laser in my sig...That shit took some abuse and then some...From tire hop, to water, to like everything...It only shit out on me when I had a bad alternator running like 19volts...

The red top battery is a cranking battery and is cheaper than the yellow top which is a deep cycle battery.

I have a red top in my Ka-t 240 and my Rx-7 love them never have given me any problems

i like the blue tops better because you can run them dead and recharge them. i dont believe you can do that to the red top, not sure about the yellow top.
