In conclusion, this will likely do positive things for local shops but terrible things for the entire 'scene' just as the last two movies did. You thought the whole JDM thing was overrated before? Prepare for an overload. People who have no clue will be selling off their srt-4's and hondas for whatever jdm DRIFT MACHINE they can obtain. I've never seen hollywood take the 'streetracing action' over to Japan, much less pay any attention to drifting but they will probably depict it in such a manner that the influence of the film will eventually bring a legislative crackdown to harmless street drifting as well.
Shitty, but we'll probably all see it anyway because everyone is going to want to find out why the kids at school are looking for an old mustang for a JDM motorswap.
Also, weren't there like 40-something tickets given out at hollywood 20 in sarasota right after the first F&F came out?
