When an unmarked police car turns his lights on I am 90% sure you do not legally have to pull over for several reasons. However he will just continue to follow you untill a marked car is called to take care of things.

Anyone know more info on this? People are killed and car jacked by people using fake police lights all the time.

 

I think you can continue to drive until you come to a stop at a public place. I was reading about a young women with a unmarked car behind attempting to pull her over. she called some police number and somehow asked if there was an unmarked car chasing her. they told her it wasnt a police car and they sent an actual marked car to run the unmarked cars tag. turns out it was some rapist guy who had a fake badge, cuffs, and gun looking for the next victim. she was smart to do that, saved her own life.

 

yea you dont have to if you feel in danger. Normally best thing to do is dial 911 let them know and find out if its legit. Maybe put on your flashers to let the car behind know you see them then proceed to a lit public place.

I saw this on a local show "Pinellas ER" they were using the unmarked Blue Dodge Dakota. The officer said that he can not "legally" persue anyone in an unmarked car unless it is for a felony. If you commit a felony then you can be chased. Most likely the cop will pursue you untill a marked unit joins. The show was funny because i saw a ricer out run the Dodge truck in a 90 integra down on US19 in St pete.
