Great example of why old people are bad drivers...
So, Im driving down Park Blvd coming back from dropping my son off at his mother's house. Coming up to the light at Seminole Blvd, I see a car come out of the Burlington CF parking lot. Thing is, THERE IS NO OPEN CROSSOVER AT THAT EXIT! Only a 8" high median....
Newer Sentra goes all "Dukes of Hazzard", jumping the median. ALL FOUR WHEELS OFF THE GROUND! I slow, just incase they cant get it under control by the time I get there.
Then, old lady that was driving comes to a COMPLETE STOP at the GREEN light, almost causing another accident. Shuts her lights off also....
There should be atleast a little more testing done after a certain age.....
Discuss......

That's awesome. Wish you had a dash-mount camera to capture that. Old people shouldn't drive and just get shuttled around once and a while by those buses........eh, scratch that. I hate those buses too. Old people suck.
wow, when that happens I just want to get out of my car and slap the shit out of someone. everyone tells me I lose my temper towards old people. you're lucky you don't live in Port Charlotte, come here and tell me you've seen more old people. sucks

i actully wrote a paper on this at school for my speech class. Older drivers are in the same statistic range as teenagers are. Only diffrence is they have had insurance for so long that the company sees it as no accidents for 3 accidents in 50 years even if those accidents are after they hit 65.
I agree completely they should be retested for there liscenses. I see people all the time at my work that can barely walk and ive watched them go outside to there car and the car is double parked or pulled up to far so its on the sidewalk or ran in to the handicap sign or not pulled up enough and is blocking traffic.
If they have trouble moving there feet when they walk. That means they have trouble hitting the brake when they need to stop.

You only need fast reflexes/brakes when you get *into* trouble. If you can *see*, and make decisions based on what you see, you don't get into trouble to start with.
Anytime you are driving faster than you can *think*,
or faster than the laws of physics, you are getting closer to
being dead. -Bob
Driving is like sex: Everybody does it. Everybody thinks they are good at it. But some are a LOT better than others!
Unfortunately in the eyes of the law, a 16 year old has established
"minimum competency" equal to a 116 year old. And....You ARE tested.
Everyday! It's called the street! The penalty for not passing the test
is death.................
