okay, i got a volvo s70 and my car isnt starting, its not clicking over so i dont think its the starter, but i jumped and it ran fine, my system hit hard, then i turned it off, started again, and then turned it off and then it didnt start again, so battery or alternator?

sorry for not knowing to much about shit...

and i know this is general car chat but i figured id get it the quickest response.

battery=what starts the car.
alternator=what keeps it started.

 

okay, so its the battery, lol im an idiot, i got a decent loud system, should i get a bigger battery if so what should i get battery wise?

okay, definitly battery? just so i dont spend 120 for one and it be a waste

 

jesus man.
buy a battery, put it in yourself if you can handle that.
take it somewhere, have the alternator checked.
maybe dump that system in the trash, its not as cool as you think.
