It's not about how wide your tire is. It's all about suspension man. I have seen a 68 camaro run low 10s on 235 wide all season tires. All in the suspension and guess what? Yours is not the best for drag racing.

Just put some 315 nitto dr's on the rear and you'll be fine. The nitto dr's are not bad on the street. The ones you are looking at are a roadrace tire for track days and such. I would not advise using them on a daily.
