Default 11 PSI of fuel pressure on my Olds 307?

For some reason the new pump I installed on the Olds 307 in my Cadillac is putting out 11 PSI of fuel pressure and causing the car to flood. Should I replace the pump again or could a clog in the return line or something be causing the high pressure numbers?

The guy at Superior Carburetor told me, I haven't seen it for myself. I took it in to get the thing tuned because it was running rich and he was like, "I didn't even bother testing it. Your pump is putting out 11 PSI. Get a new one."

I thought about it, they're only $25, but if the pump is putting out 11 PSI, how long is it going to last? I don't want to spent $25 on a regulator now and then $20 on a new pump later anyway, you know? I might as well return the pump and get another first. It's just such a bitch to get on and off the engine.

Yeah I was thinking that too. But you might not wanna buy this one at 7-eleven tho. It may not be as forgiving as the last one was

Block of plate for what? There's nothing to block off. The pump is an OEM replacement, not an electic pump.

I got the pump at Advance Auto, but are you suggesting that I get one from the Caddy dealer? Those fucking stock Olds pumps are obviously bad motherfuckers!

On a side note, the car seems to be running fine today. Maybe the return line to the fuel tank was clogged? With the diaphragm being broken on the old pump, I doubt it ever actually returned fuel to the tank, you know? I think it just deposited excess into the crankcase.
