Default car buying advice

ok, so i have money now, right around 6000-6500

im looking into getting a car that i can fiddle around with and learn my way with cars. im in college so i cant afford to do much with my part time pay.

im looking to buy something that i can daily drive but also have a lot of fun with. so i was thinkin sport compact. maybe an integra?... i was also thinkin v6 mustang. i know they dont have much power, but i love mustangs and i cant afford a v8. i also need something thats relatively new. no more than 6 or 7 years old.. what are my options?

please dont think that im just asking you what to buy. ive been looking through autotrader for months now just trying to build an idea of what i want. but everything has its ups and downs. so what do you think would fit my bill the best?

thank you to anyone who helps. screw you to anyone who flames.

Integra is always a good idea if you can affod the insurance. They are cheap on gas, cheap to fix, but insurance is up the butt because they are a high theft vehicle. But to get in your price range, you probably can't get anything newer than like 98-99ish, and probably only an LS, not a GSR. Plus if you plan on drifting as your user name suggests, an Integra will not suit that purpose well.

yeah i found that to be very true. every 98 and up integra gsr is pretty high priced.
