Interesting move. I never understood why GM bought part of Subie in the first place.

 

To mess with SAAB, since Subaru was doing fine and SAAB was probably also doing fine. Cross two fine things over without directly fucking either over, and you've got a little bit of success.

What the hell would Toyota do though...all they do is not ruin specific stuff, but havent been remotely performance oriented forever, and with that new old guy running stuff (whos doing a good job, but still will not have anything to do with 'oomph')..

Yup. I know a guy who knows a guy who said the Corvair is coming back with a liquid cooled Porsche-based flat 6 turbo in 2008.

See how easy it is to make stuff up? The MkIV Supra wasnt announced until 3 monthes before it showed up; people thought they'd be getting a 1993 MkIII over here. Toyota isnt a very leaky company.

 

As long as Toyota starts making sports cars again I don't care what it's called, Toyota is so boring right now it makes me sick.

Anyways, imagine if the Matrix was a bit bigger, powered by 3S-GTE AND AWD. Thats the Caldina. Four door, but at least AWD turbo!

 

GM needs to sell off a lot of crap. Their stock is shit and they've got big bills coming in retirement checks.

 

That Caldina is sweet, why does the US get shafted with crap like the Matrix while Japan gets hott cars like that? Hell I'd even take that Matrix if it came AWD and turbo.

Its got one of those, but with a crappy engine. What if they just turboed the XRS, gave it decent oomph? Hmm.
