Solving very small rust spots from rock dings.
My protege I just bought needs a little body work. Most of it is clay bar and buffing removal of scratches. obviously the previous owner didnt wax the car often. Its got 2 rock dings about 1mm-2mm round that have rusted. You can see on one of them that some of the surrounded paint is whitened instead of straight black/grey it should be. I'm guessing i need to sand or remove all around this area (5mm max) and then touch it up...
Anyone have any techniques? tips? for doing this on my own...

Yeah, I've got a few very large scrapes on my hood that will probably start rusting in a while, though I do keep them waxed up. Also need to touch up a part of a friend's car where the headlight was misaligned and rubbed the hood.
if the hole is rusted through(open)then u need to sand a area down to metal about 1 or 2 inches around the holes and grind the rust away so u can get a good adhesion.depending on how extensive u want to get theres a couple of ways, easiest depending on where the on the car it is u can just lay a little piece of fiberglass over it.spread resin on it and let it indent(concave) in the hole alittle bit and then put some body filler(bondo) in it sand it all down as smooth as ur little heart disires as long as u dont go past the body line then seal it up with some primmer and wal la.
