Default getting old gas out of a tank.

well my WRX will be running this weekend, but the gas that is in the tank has been in there for a year 1/2, so i was thinking about pulling the fuel pump out and siphon it out that way with a cheap hand pump from like discount auto, or does anyone know a better route.

Just pull the line of the pump and crank it over till it empties.

Seriously I would only do that as a last resort. Best way would be to shiphon or drop it and drain it.

Is there a drain bolt? AWD DSMs have a handy little drain bolt on the bottom of the tank.

Good thing they put that in from the factory, they must have known most DSMs would be broken down most of the time.

Drop a match in- fastest possible way to get it out.

Seriously get a siphon tube with pump or you can make one.. I used a water bottle for the pump once and rigged a valve on it. Truly ghetto, but effective.
