Default questions on returnless fuel injection systems.

ive never really delt with this until now. The fueling on my kawasaki 636RR go kart is fuel injected with returness rail.

1) how is fuel pressure controlled?
2) i got the kart to start today. i put the stock pump in a bucket of gas, i could see excess gas (mainly when the kart wasnt started) pushed out the bottom. now can you run a inline fuel pump on a returnless system?

im thinking worst case, i could cut the bottom of the fuel cell off and mount the stock pump in there, but id rather run an external if i could, just dont know which would be the best choice.

Default

what if it was run straight off a battery source? like 12v constant?

thats how i started it today, but it seemed like forever to start, but once it was warm, it would fire right up.
