Default rack and pinion

Has anybody put this on their vehicles? No power steering with it. I am thinking about going this route, since my pump doesn't work.

I'm not sure, but I think a few people like Ford, GM, and Chrysler have done this before.

I have been driving around with no power steering right now. It is bearable to drive just a little difficult getting out of parking lots but I like it better on the freeway and everything. Now I know it will improve if I just went to straight rack and pinion, and plus I could save like 30 + lbs.
