Tech forums showdown...(good idea/bad idea)
OK, now that I read the whole thread.
I have had lots of help with the Goodwill car. Their names are on the back window. I have not, however taken donations on it. At least I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Anyone can follow my recipie. It is pretty well detailed on my webpage. The details of the latest setup are not on there because I'm lazy and haven't made many passes on the new setup, but it basically runs 11.2-11.3 every pass with about $5000 into it. I've said it before, it can be done for much less. Price was the #2 priority, fast was #1.
The goal as of late is 10s no nitrous. That will happen by Halloween. Then the nitrous goes on. Then, I will be trying a 16g. I hope to see mid to low 10s by then.
Then it's getting the BIG turbo along with a few other things. That's a secret.
So, Goodwill has been somewhat of a group effort, but I wouldn't call it a forum car.
Unless Ian has that EVO316g for me.

Nice car the project goodwill and you only spend $5000 on it total. It also ran 11.20's thats good but not good enough. If you want to bring that car after we get ours finished and race for the title i'm sure you wont have any problem from the ford camp. Also it only took you 18 months to get that time.
It's a nice car and congratulations on the progress but this isnt a fair comparsion not that i'm complaining.
The mustang should go 10's within 3 months of the start of build. It should also take less then $1000 in money spend. Well make that $2500 counting all beer we will end up buying.
You guys game?
I think it should be interesting to say the least. Also suprised that you got a car/project like this completed.
What say you! ha!

The imports are never going to want to build a drag car, because drag racing isn't kool enuff.
Maybe you should set Frankenstang up for roll racing?
Seriously, though, I think the idea is geting distorted. Every forum take a junkyard build and see who can do what. Its not about who can spend the most money making their car fast, its about who can make the fastest shitbox. And, sadly, I don't see much of anything standing up to a Mustang, for the simple reason that there are a plethora of Stang parts sitting around for free that can make one helluva fast car. Still, I'd love to see it, maybe ya'll Honda guys can scrape up an old tired out b16a, do a cheap headswap, and put a shitload of boost on it...can those things handle a shitload of boost?

I dont mean to sound stupid but what is a dsm ? or an Imo ? or a b 16a or evo316g. what the fuck I must be gettin old. I hope yall build one or 2 we love the competition. and it takes 2 cars to race. we would like to think the stang would win but I have seen some fast alphabet turbo rice too. do not make the mistake of thinking a mustang cant road race. ever been to seebring??? assloads of mustangs.
