Uh...... The V6 Mustang and Cobra share the basic unit body, front control arms, and maybe steering components. Sounds about like the difference between the Lancer and Evo.

Untill 2003, according to MY definition of a cars platform, the v6 and cobra mustang always shared the same platform, however the lancer and evo have never shared the same platform. And my definition of platform would be drivetrain/powertrain.
I do understand/see where you are going though fordified.

Pretty much the only thing they share that is the same is the bare frame and the main body. Also most of the inside of cobra's depending on the year were the same as the v6 mustangs but this is not the case with evo's and lancers.

Besides, its not like they changed the engine orientation in the EVO, its still sideways

And as far as interior, I'd venture to say the Lancer and Evo share just as many components as the V6/Cobra. Seats, dash trim, gauges, steering wheel and shifter are different.

TRUST ME I know that the cobra and v6(by my definition) of the supercharged cobra years (03 to whatever) are not on the same platform.
You can convert a v6 to cobra spec. you cannot convert a raliart to evo spec. Engine mounts are different, front cross member is different, the unibody shell is different. And thats just the obvious things right of the bat.

.You can swap SR20's into B15 chassis. If I was going to seriously build either the ralliart or SE-R, I'd go SE-R + GTI-R swap like Norlandts (cubanprince).
