How to cut braided hose???
Well I finally got a braided hose but when I got it one end was a little frayed and I need to cut a little off so I can put a fitting on...does anyone know how to cut it....it just keeps fraying with everything i try
we usually wrap it in elec tape or even blue painters tape, and then cut the end with a die grinder with a cut off wheel, you can also use cable cutters

with the socket-less hose and fittings there is a tool, but for the braided once you cut it you have to put the first piece of the fitting over the braid some srcew on some push on, then you hold the first piece in a vise and then start to thread the innerpiece in, while making sure you dont push the hose out of the first piece

id wrap it in masking tape, then cut thru the tape with a saw. then leave the tape on bc thats nice and smooth to put the fitting on.
