I work on my cars
I work on my cars while my friends supervise me
I have my friends help me with my cars
I have and sometimes take my cars to a shop to have them worked on
I like to help people work on thier cars
and if you look in my pics on TF you will see me standing in my cr-x engine bay which is now operational

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i do all my own work. sometimes i dont really trust other people to work on my car. but i have other people work on it if i cant, if specialty tools or something along that lines becomes a problem for me.

when i have a beater car, i'll go as far as the cylinder head. any repair more involved than that, and i take it to the shop. and if my car's got a warranty on it, i won't do any work myself.
