+1 for a waste, I-5 engine I think so it will likely get as poor gas mileage as the H2 since an I-5 will be struggling to push that beast around.

You have to be kidding me. Its a hummer. Thats what its for. Its not a dodge caravan, its a fucking hummer. Its very good off road I don't know what the hell all of you are talking about.

 

The Hx series can be very competent off road, you just have to know your capabilities.. I do fine with IFS, and desipte basing on the colorado frame for the h3 or the siverado/tahoe frame for the h2, still has some good apprach, breakover, and departure angles, as well as water crossing depth, PLUS the recovery shackels built in, it can be fine for your basic offroad stuff. It's all about being smart. I dont take my blazer thru the lakeland mud drags, or to the rubicon trail, or paragon. It's common sense.

 

The H3 is a very nice truck...my sister got 1 of the first ones from reeves when they were released...she got everything on it including bigger tires, running boards and all the shit and it was a bit over 38gs....there really nice and you dont see many around...my fav is still the H2 because for people saying nobody is buying because of gas get real....people who spend 60gs on a car are not worried about 2.85 a gallon gas...lol....I get 11 mpg....big fuckin deal...but the h3 is an inline 5 and it gets about 16mpg, its a really nice truck..i say go for it...

 

plus I bet yo ucan get them really cheap also.
