I need advice....I'm lookin to buy a car up in Ga...I've been offered a 95 Miata for 4G (would be hella fun to throw a sr20 in it. And i've been also offered a s13 w/sr20 (redtop) already in it for 5G....all i would need to do is drop another $1000 and put in bigger injectors, a Walbro Fuel pump, and a Greddy front mount.

These cars are rather somewhat different from one another.
Miata is a chick magnet. Its convertable, looks great with bodykit.
Miata is NA, while the S13 is turboed.
S13 is easier to drift with, basically more of a track car.
S13 is a 4 seater hatch with room in the cargo, more versatility.

It comes down to what you really want, looks or performance.
Swap a SR into that miata, its got the best of both worlds.

Edit: Macco...$250 for 1 stage POS paint job.
Good paint should have at least 2 base and 2 clear, which runs about $1k.

 

hmm i don't really like either imo. miatas has some decent mods, but is a tad on the ricy side, although those mazdaspeed seats are nice(and expensive). 240 is ok, base model with an sr swap, like about 3247877487348 other cars out there some ok mods. i really don't know which one i would pick.

 

According to me, the S13 fits my needs and wants more than the miata. Ill chose the s13 over the miata, though the miata is really awesome to have on the weekends.

 

A Miata on Azenis sounds great... but APC lights, shaved door handles, and all that white paint in the interior? A few stock parts would make that car decent again.

On the other hand, the S13 will be fast once you put some money into it. Right now with no boost controller and only exhaust, it's not very fast. Add boost controller, FMIC, pump, and a tune, and you'll be pretty quick. Then you'll need more tire in the rear, some sort of brake improvement, and a boost gauge so that you don't crash/blow it up. Then you'll need... See where I'm going with this? This car is going to nickel and dime (and benjamin?) you to death. Plus you're stuck with the Smurf interior.

Yeah....I'd get a Greddy EBC and that will pretty much prevent spiking and help me NOT BLOW up....and hey after i put on the Front mount, Walbro Fuel pump, and EBC i'm junk yardin it. You can find some cheap GOOD shit in junk yards.

More than likely that someone is interested in drifting.
Thats why drifting came into my mind.
Why not some other car?
