First of all. I have spent alot of time with randy and he couldnt pay the rent for the shop because so many ppl fucked him over on money and he couldnt pay for the parts he needed. my husband and i lent him alot of money to help him out with the shop so he tried to keep the shop open to get everyones car done. my car was at his shop for a month and nothing happened with that i mean my car was stolen and he was going to fix it and it never got done before he had to close up shop. do you see me on here saying dont go to randy cuz his work sucks. he actually does good jobs. does them right. ive seen them and ive done them. ive seen him work on cars and worked on a few myself. randy isnt here to defend himself so do you really think its fair for yu to be sitting here talking the shit that you are. shit happens and you just got to deal with it. i am driving my car right now with the hood of the car tied down, theres no rubber seals in my doors so my car is leaking i have no blinkers and no windshield wipers and am i bitching because he couldnt fix my car for me? no im just going to have to find somewhere else to go that will fix it for me. thats just my .02 cents. but well try and get randy to chime in on this matter.

None of that about Grand Am is Randy's fault. That is Ins. Co. So you STILL wouldn't have anything to complain about.

I agree if I didn't know what REALLY happened, I'd be REALLY mad. But, I don't want to be a middle man, is why I am staying quiet. Hopefully randy will come to my house and come online and explain.

Basically, randy did a lot for ALL of you. You guys would go to him with insurance jobs, etc. he would not only get you out of paying deductibles, he would charge LESS than what ins. check was for so he put money in YOUR pocket.

I'm not gonna start a whole huge thread. Let randy have his say. But understand, he did his damndest to keep EVERYONE happy. He DID make LOTS of mistakes, we all do. But the whole time he constantly tried to help everyone else in turn screwed himself to the point he was living out of shop, lost EVERYTHING he owned, and yet when he knew he had someone's car too long he told some of you to take your cars without paying remaining balances, etc. As far as parts missing, that is from A) People walking in and out of shop even though he has asked EVERY customer to not come into shop, and B) From what I understand, some old employees that he thought he could trust disappeared. No excuse for that I know, but try and see the other side of the story, and know randy will do everything he can for each of you. He was faced with a VERY tough decision, and hopefully he reopens shop SOON starting at zero.

I SUGGESTED to him he continues working on 1 car at a time, and 1 of you who feel you were mistreated to try and keep money coming in, and also make right where he went wrong in the past. I can't BEGIN to speak of what he will do. I will get him to chime in when poss. But please slow down on the bashing. Each of you have VERY legitimate gripes/complaints, but when you lose the shirt off your back to try and help people and keep getting kicked in the face every time you turn around, it just begins to be too much.

I hope I'm saying this the right way, I'm not making excuses for anything that happened, but randy is a friend of mine, and I'm going to let him say his part in here. Just slow down with the bashing, and at least hear him out, post your concerns if you want, and he will tell EACH of you probably through PM what he will do to help you.

 

this is the main thing I can suspect from all I've read. He didn't know how to properly deal with the business which lead to bad customer service which lead to this thread. the damage is done but my overall opinion will remain open until i see his defense.

a while back I was tring to look for who painted that maroon Supra,which is this guy Randy..Didnt know he was out there to rip people off...

I dont know how people wouldnt get mad if he had your car for a month and didnt do anything,Thats bad buisness in my book..

If he dont care on ripping people off,I think responding to this thread would be his last worries..

 

What does any of that have to do with my situation or my friends? We had no insurance work done and nothing has been done right or fixed and my car was painted over 6 months ago. Everything seems to get stolen from his cars and he expects you to replace it yourself. I think his molding work is pretty decent actually. But my paintjob isn't smooth, there are runs/drips in the paint. I have fading, and other problems. When you get your car painted it is supposed to look good. Not need more work on it from another bodyshop. And my friends case is ridiculous. Everything possible was stolen off of it and not even finished. He could have finished his car since he already bought the paint and attach his spoiler and not come out of pocket at all. Had weeks and still didn't.

Bottom line, he runs a business. You have to make things right and/or refund money. The business owner has to take responsibilty for problems and take the losses, not the consumers. So what, when he does a good job he makes money but when shit goes bad the consumer loses out? Not the way the business world works.

 

He was not involved in any insurance scam with me. And not fulfilling his end of a business aggreement does not count for "doing alot for me." I paid $200 more than I was quoted on paper. I didn't have to do that, but I did. He couldn't even get a good paintjob done after months. And my friends case is the worst I've seen. Have you heard of fraud?

Well he told me it was old employees too. Then he moved his shop and I never saw any of the same employees. Then my friend has his headlights, tail lights, amps, subs, intake and strut bar stolen. Basically stripped the car for whatever they could. That was at his new shop, with apparently different people. Still everything gets stolen.

Whether or not to finish work that you take money for is nothing to contemplate. It must be done.



He told me MANY times that he would get the parts to fix my car. He told me he ordered 2 of them on x day and they until x day to get there. Then when I get there way afterwards he still didn't have them. My friends car was there forever and he still hasn't done anything to fix my car. Not different way to look at this, sorry.

Just because a guy can turn a wrench or shoot a car doesn't mean he can run a business. That kind of failure happens every day. Running a business ain't easy. He will either learn or partner with somebody a bit more adept.

And so many of you guys wonder why the head honchos make more money.
