heat blankets are neat and stuff, but it makes the turbo look like its all tucked ready to sleep

Get your manifold, downpipe, and turbine housing ceramic coated if you don't want them to rust.. It'll help with underhood temps too. The turbo blanket Kirk mentioned is also a good idea. If it were me I'd get everything heat coated and then put one of these on the turbine housing:

IMO heat wrap on uncoated steel will only help it rust faster.

Ceramic coating IMO is the best way to go. not only will it keep the heat away from the other parts but also you can clean up the piping and your welds to make it more presentable/neater. The turbo blanket is also a good idea if you did not want to ceramic coat the piping.

i was thinking of this right one right here but i like yours a lil more but it doesnt seem to hug the actual housing like this one does

The blanket will probably keep the heat in a little better, but the shield will last longer..
