Employee Discount
Is this their new tactic in their sales department?
GM was sucessful with it
Chrysler is doing it now
Ford is offering it very soon.
"You pay what we pay. Not a cent more." GM...yeah like i dont know that there are multi-millionaires working for GM, who makes $500 for each car that the company sells everyday. Without the employee discount, the extra money that im paying, where is it going? Obviously to the car company. What a load of bullcrap.

I think it's kinda funny how the other big two are ripping off the idea. They're all so used to giving out big rebates that the employee discount probably just simplifies things while giving them about as much money per car as the 5 different rebates they offered before did.
OH, now GM is extending the employee discount to Aug. 1st! OMG, I need to go out and buy a car. This offer will save me hundreds of dollors each month on my payments.
Is it possible that they could increase the interest in the monthly payments to make up the rebate?

GM started it initially because of pooor sales, then Ford, and Chrysler recently started as well. They are just doing whatever they can to sell you a car and losing an unfathomable amount in the process

Its marketing genious because people go in to the dealer and demand the employee pricing. Once they get that, they buy the car and go home. Meanwhile, you can negotiate a price much lower than their employee pricing. These sales are actually making the dealers MORE money!
It's such a joke of a gimmick. Factory employees get soooooo sooo much better price. Dealership employees get it up the ass just like everyone else. The dealer I work for did'nt want to make me any deal, so I drove to Brandon Dodge to get my Stratus. GM factory employees have the best deal, they get these coupon/certificates that can be used by even family members for down payments. My cousin called me and said he's got quite a few accumulated if I'm ready to trade my truck in.
