ok, i'm done with this murano, it's on it's 3rd alternator and keeps leaving me stranded. i'm sick of it so... i'm looking into my options on another vehicle just getting opinions...
i need either a full size car or an suv, i need to be able to carry stuff...
this will be our main vehicle until early next year when i get a g35c
vehicles in consideration...

btw i'm looking for low milage used, not brand new.

Infinity FX35, alot like the murano, but drivetrain is different and it's rwd
02-03 Bmw 745i top of my price range, pure style.
01+ Bmw X5
Lexus RX300
04+ Acura TL- i know, not full size but nice.

any other suggestions? i wanna go test driving soon. i test drove an H2 yesterday, it wasn't impressed. + 7 mpg isn't my cup of tea lol.

 

my mom had bought the qx56 and she hated it it never left her stranded or any thing but she hated with in two weeks she had sold it and got a lexus and loves it .... i would try out the rx300 maybe even the gs300 i drove the 430 for a lil while and it was prettty nice but yea good luck with every thing .... oh yea start selling those HID's again lol

 

about time u got rid of the minivan chris...lol....if I were you, get somthin thats under warranty, any of those cars on the list are gettin near out of warranty time and if you think its bad losing a alternator, think about replacing like the a/c in the 7 series, your lookin at 2gs....also, the H2 gets about 11 MPG, not 7...lol

 

I'm a dealer and I've actually been driving an H2 and an X5. The H2 is fun but definately sucks on gas. I've been driving easy and getting 11.9 average MPG. I personally like the X5 a lot more for everyday driving. Plenty of power with the 4.4 or 4.6 and not too bad on gas. I've never driven the FX35 but they look nice. I'd probably do the X5 if it was me, only thing I've noticed with BMW's is window cables suck and can break at anytime, definately sucks if it's raining out. Get that checked out right away if you get one.

 

yeah, parts/service on a BMW are up there. i've thought about that too... as far as warranties, i would get a certified pre-owned, most all of those cars come with 100,000/mi warranties, for instance the 7 series comes with a factory 7 year/100k mi warranty, all cpo lexus and acura have the same, not sure on infiniti

 

what about something like a 1500hd, big 4 full doors, plenty of interior room and can haul alot of things. just an idea

 

 

I like the Acura TL's they are nice and look good with a nice set of wheels and a system.

 

why get a used 7 when for the same price you can get a new 545

You get the same motor, a warranty and a new car. And they look and drive great.

Dont get an h2, gas is only going to get more expensive. I think its going to be $3 by the end of next year.

TL is nice... but why? It suffers from torque steer REALLY badly. Not very fun in the turns....

New GS from Lexus is a beaut... handles great, can get AWD and the V6 is strong as hell. Plus they hold value almost as well as BMWs.
