Default Weird A/C problem

I was driving my 96' Explorer today, and I was offroading it in Orlando (muddy from Dennis), and I noticed my A/C was still blowing cold, but the fan blower motor was blowing at half the normal speed. I then pulled over, looked under the hood and dash for anything abnormal, and noticed that there was water pouring out from where the A/C condensation normally drips from, but it was literally like a hose. I then shut off the car, turned it bakc on, and it is now fine. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what happened.

well what was wierd was how it worked fine right after I shut the car, off, it's almost like the motor reset itself, although I don't know why it would do that.
