Default A/C question???

My car had air that blew cold then slowly got warmer but not real warm. I took it to this place and they put some AC stuff in it and now it blows hot. They said I needed a comprssor. Does that sound right that i had cold air untill they put in the ac stuff R32 or whatever it is. Now it just blows air that is warm. If i drain some of the stuff do you think my air would be colder like befor they put the stuff in? Any input would help thanks.

Sounds like you got a leak, probably at the compressor if they say you need it replaced.

And they either put r12, r134a, or a mixed replacement such as hotshot. I'm guessing it was r134 for that car. That or they crammed some stop leak crap in there.

It does sound like they put too much in. Is the compressor coming on? Was it working before, just not as cold as you think it should have? An overcharged A/C system will blow hot as if it wasn't working at all.

The compressor trys to come on and then my car jerks. It was real cold then slowly went less cold but still cold not as cold as I wanted it. Should I try to let some out or take it some where where they can? Also the condinsation that leaks out would leave a hudge puddle under the car after I turned it off and park.

You need a new compressor, that is why it isn't working properly.

The compressor trying to come on and not being able to or jerking the car could be caused by being overcharged or undercharged, not just a bad compressor. The only way to accurately tell is to have someone actually put guages on it and see what it is doing, just letting a little out by yourself may get it to where it works, but the only way to be sure it is charged properly and there are no clogs/other problems is to take it to a shop and have them check the actual readings on both the high and low sides. I would recommend trying someplace different than the one that got you in this mess in the first place
