you wont notice a difference in wear between the two with the exact same driving situations (had to make it clear)
kumhos are a decent, cheap tire, that will do fine.
michellins are expensive, and in my opinion, not all that great.

might want to look into bf goodrich g force t/a also.

I'm daily driving on Kuhmo 711's right now and I'm estimating 30-35k out of them based on the wear so far...... I usually run them hard though..... The grip is good for the $.

What is a reasonable lifespan for a set of tires for you? If you don't drive hard on them and rotate regularly you could expect to get 40-50k miles out of the 711's

well I deffinatly did not get close to 40k miles. I really dont drive hard. I mean of course I will get on it and spin or turn quick. But for the most part i drive easy. I know i didnt get more then 20k miles out of them. They did go through a wreck where they slid sideways about 50 feet but i am pretty sure that did not take off that much tread.

why not whats on there now? you dont drive like you need a performance tire, but if you do bfg g-force will be a nice dd tire, there is different types for you driving needs. the dunlop fm901 will wear the outsides down quickly and usually they dont see alot of mileage, ive never used kumhos before, but it seems like they like them.

I like Nitto NT-555, never used them, but I have used the NT-450's. They are awesome in the rain, and have decent dry weather traction. I have Kumho 712's on my SHO and they seemed comparable to the NT-450's. Check the link I beleive this is the size you would be looking for(245-45 ZR17). If you care about nothing else, then get a good wet weather tire. Mustangs are not the easiest cars to drive in the rain, but in my case, with the Nittos, as long as I didn't drive like a jackass, I could drive the same whether it was raining or not. I order all my tires from here and take them to a shop by my house to be mounted. You would be surprised how much money you save. BTW, if you ever up the horsepower in your pony, you will need stickier tires. Smoking the tires without trying is cool for about a week, then it just gets annoying. Hope this helps.http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...45&ar=45&rd=17

Significant.

Michelin last and are a better wet tire.
Kumhos grip and are cheaper.

You make the call. Can't go wrong with either.

Price isnt a huge deal but i would like to keep it as low as possible
How about suggesting a budget and sizes. People should be able to give you a far better recommendation if you do that. Also, rate the following characteristics in order of importance.

dry traction
wet traction
treadlife
cost
noise
