Fast RX-8
I have loved RX-8s since they debuted as concept cars but about the time they were released my friends got evos and srt-4s and all that shit! i was just wondering if anyone has heard any thing about mazda living up to the rx-7 and making the rx-8 turbo or anything like that? I know in japan and great britain they have the mazdaspeed version but i don't think that is turbo

the mazdaspeed's only have a different final drive (slower than stock acceleration wise) different body kit, and suspension/wheels.... no real speed parts
greddy has a turbo kit for it, some kid brought it out to the last drift event and did some drifting, didnt look too shabby, but no serious hp like modded rx7's have.
people have also swapped the rx8's motor for a turbo rx7 (sorry i dont know much about what theyre called, 13B maybe???)
anyways, if people want speed theyre going to have it

my brother has a RX-7 and i love that thing. Is the RX-8 even quick at all? I have never even seen one at the track

they are quick, but not really fast. just like alot of stock "sport compacts" i have seen quite a few modded rx-8's, only one of which is turbo. they are still bad-ass looking, and quick. they can also handle like crazy. they set Sport Compact Cars fastest slalom time. depends on what you consider fast i guess...

I beat rx8s in my Mustang....v6 automatic Mustang... they only start to catch up around 100 mph but up til 120 (my top speed for now) ive never lost...

And luckily for rx-8 "quick" is a relative term.

yeah I hear auto rx-8's are quite a bit slower in comparison simply because the motors need to rev to all hell to make any kind of power.
