Engine and trans can be had from $3-5k. Look on Ebay. They are usually on there alot. A used LS1 is ~1500-3k depending on milage and a used T56 is ~$1k.

I mean shortblock. Someone doing a swap or anything to get another motor 99% of the time wont keep stock heads (ported heads are ~ the same price as stock LS6 heads now... better deal) and not keep the stock cam. Plus generally when someone buys a motor, theyre looking to rebuild it anyways. I know Id never trust a motor thats used
