Default I'm high on gasoline and I'm Q-Jet impaired!

So my whole house smells like gasoline and my QuadraJet off of the Caddy is disassembled. Sure, it was easy to get apart, but now putting it back together and adjusting it is going to be a bitch. Anybody on here a Q-Jet master that I can talk to if I have questions? I'm pretty good at motors and carburetors, but I seem to be 4 barrel impaired these days.

$19.99 for a rebuild kit and $30 for a new TPS. I think a rebuilt q-jet is like $150! I'll end up buying one after I break this one anyway. Plus, I might actually learn something this way. Last time I rebuilt a 4 barrel I ended up selling it half apart on eBay

I can rebuild single venturi carbs all day though. Motorcycle carbs are easy!

tuning tips for the quadrajet. they helped me get my old '84 Z-28 from 8 mpg to 15 mpg.

750 demon 4 barrel with mechanical secondaries and no choke. That would KICK ASS on a 307ci olds with a 2.14 ring in the back!

Feedback carb? It has a TPS and some other sensor that reads the float. It has like 9000 things hooked to the linkage too.

Well, the problem I'm having with the car is that it knocks like crazy, but only at cruise throttle. A slight increase in the throttle, no knock. The computer is throwing a TPS and a lean fuel condition code. The car also has NO power at anything but minimal throttle. If I stomp it down, it actually accelerates slower, so I'm thinking the accelerator pump might be due for a refresh. The fuel filter looks like the stock one from 1987 and all of the gaskets were completely dry rotted. A rebuild can't hurt and I can spray the jets out with some carb cleaner if they're clogged.

I tell you, that olds 307 motor is a workhorse. I've read that plenty of people take 'em to 300k miles without any major problems. Once I clear up the knock I've got a car that's good for another 200k miles since the car is in the low 90k's right now.
