where can i buy 55 gal drums of race gas?
my friend screwed me. i told him i wanted 10.5 to 1. well he told me it was going to be 10.8 to 1. i did the math and it's 11.8 to 1.
flat top piston above the deck .015
.051 head gasket
61 cc head chamber
around 7-8 cc for the valve reliefs 540/560 lift. 2.10 intake 1.65 exhaust
36 quench
11.8 to 1
unless he messed up when he ordered the piston and got them .015 in the hole. but that would really mess me up. i'd have 10.9 to 1 but i'd have a quench of 66
i've got to get the oder # so i can check with venola to make use they come out .015 above the block. if they don't i'll have to change the head gasket to a thinner one. so i will still need race gas.
i live on port richey. does any gas stations around here sell race gas?
if not i need to know where i can buy 55 gal drums of race gas.
thanks for your help.

What kind of gas are you looking for ? what octane?
We just purchased two 30 gallons of VP C10 and a 55 gallon of VP 110.

i was going to see what the prices where. i was thinking of mixing 106, 110 or 116 with 93 to get around 100 octane.
i've got some nice indy aluminum heads and with the quench at 36 i didn't think i would need more than 100 octane to run the streets. i've also got both sides of the intake tapped for rear head cooling. as can be seen in my sig.

Input shaft finally came in from Lentech. With a little luck and a lot of work from Joe, the car will make it to track day. Still have to get the tranny and converter back in as well as the suspension and the shifter. Will probably have to do a little hammer work to get the slicks to clear too. It won't be 100% but should be good enough to have some fun. Gotta find my antique helmet now, it's been about 2½ years since I've been to the track.
