Default some diy stuff

hey how hard is it to change cover gasket? what do i have to do? just remove the cover? are there precautions i should take. all responses except useless comments are appreciated.

valve cover gasket? Just remove bolts holding it in place and remove it. Dont get any trash in the valve train though. Put new gasket on and bolt back down.

i downloaded a diy from diy network and it had like a 10 step process of cleaning the valve cover, cleaning gasket residue and a few other things. ty tho appreciate it
