JDM fanboys, this just in from California: the JDM craze is over. JDM parts are so common over there, they aren't even mentioned. The new style is VIP, so start saving for your used Lexus and chrome wheels with stretched tires.

Parts are parts. Personally, I wouldn't care if they came from the Kenyan domestic market. If it visually suits me or functions better than something else, then that's what I'll get. The only time I even use the term "JDM" is to keep from having to say "came off a car in Japan" or "only available in Japan". I just put some candian OEM parts in my car. Too bad there isn't a commonly used acronym for that. People just want their cars to look different. What better way to get parts that have OEM fitment than to get an overseas OEM part? I think people tend to look more closely at Japan because the other major car market (europe) doesn't share many cars with the States.

I think a lot of domestic people don't understand the JDM thing because most US cars don't even exist outside the states. There aren't any unique parts being built for those cars overseas. I would like to see a GTO with Holden Monaro parts, Mate.

Well at the Auto Salons there Incoperating alot of USDM Parts in there cars like Lambo Doors and Nitrus. SO while all the kool people around here are running around saying "Yo, My rides Got JDM Shit!"
