Well the civic thing was just an example. However assuming it weighed 2200 lbs and the f body weighed 3500 lbs, lb per HP on the civic would be 4.4, so the f body would need like 800 HP, and just see how they'd do I guess..

Yeah, just and example..its not actually common enough to try

I dunno, I guess the idea doesnt work because there arent enough powerful light imports

The was a thread a few months back that talked about a tampa racing shootout...imports vs domestics. Terry.ho started the thread. I think it's a great idea and maybe the tr track day (road course) is the first step.

well, lets just put them on slicks...i say the fbody wins hands down, with a mid 10 second pass. and the civic comes in about a second later. horsepower is just a number derived from torque and RPM.

this "similar" theory on shit sucks. you want "similar" go fuckin bracket race.

Yeah...I didnt really think that through

I guess they could bracket race...but bracket racing always sounded completly pointless to me..

how bout i let you make 3 or 4 passes, figure out some kind of dial-in, and we go bracket race. bracket racing is the truest example of driver skill, and has nothing to do with the car. kinda why some tracks up north last i was told, were trying to stop these guys from traveling the country, using rental cars, to bracket race with a 17.0 dial in. granted, they were cutting great tree's, and having a car that slow gives you more room for error. so no, if you learn how to cut a good tree, and then stay just a nudge in front of the other guy, it is by no means pointless.

Yes, I see how it takes skill, however I always thought that it was meant for people with crappy slow cars to race faster ones, although it does work great in that aspect
