The car looks like it will be competing in some wheel-to-wheel road events and will likely suffer some body damage over time. I would have focused on making the fenders removable rather than molded to the body. That's one hell of a large wheel span though...

Yes - 935 had the slope nose and large fenders. But yiu have to remember there are many varients of the 911 that have been racing (and winning) in lots of classes. This guy - who races in a few different classes in Southern California plans on making some fiberglass molds just in case he bumps one of the fenders...
