Haha well we were dirt poor (at the 'poverty' level) 10 years ago and it's a family value to live below our means.

I think the Mazda3 is one of the best deals on the road; it gets acceptable gas mileage and it's nicer than the average 20k car (leather, xenon lights, sunroof, decent interior and exterior styling, and a good warranty).

I like the mazda3 and the 6. But of course I'd rather drive the BMW
