I am willing to bet not many in this thread know what the new GT500 even look like nor know what it has to offer and are voting just off of the name.

Right now it is slated to have at least 450hp/450tq and handle like mofo :

gt500, as said above, there in differant price ranges completely but the mustang is soooo hot and im sure it would be cheap to mod.

GT500 for me, I dont know, it seems vette's are just so common after constant production for the last who knows how many years, there hasnt been a GT500 since what? 69?

Z06 but I <3 Chebby.

I'd rock both if I had the money though, right now the most I could rock would probably be an '05 Mustang V6

actually quite a lot has changed from c5 to c6. wheels are closer to the corners, wheels are bigger, non-popup lights, frame has changed, weight has dropped, motor is all new--it shares little with the c5.

I'd prefer the new z06 but agree that modding the new mustang will likely be less expensive and easier than modding the new z06.
