Here is an idea....
When i was at gandy and 60 last night, there were a lot more cops than usual and two or three were in the lot at gandy....we all know that there are legal track days....but what if they like closed off Albert Whited Airport or something like that on Friday and Saturday nights??? They already close the airport for the Grand Prix, so why not on Friday and Saturday nights when there are no small cesna planes out in the sky??? Just an idea....discuss!!!

That would definitely be very cool, but i agree with ^^^^ on it being very difficult to organize something like that every weekend night.

yeah i thought soo...but if somehow we got the city involved they would maybe help put something on like that....it would be very hard to get it to really work but like i said its just an idea....
Small airports like that are always active, but the GP is the exception arranged for by the city.
In the case of Z-hills airport one runway is inactive some weekends for skydiving and auto-xes.
Its kind of cool sometimes when you are out there waiting to auto-x and you look up when you hear a bunch of wind flapping noise to see a bunch of people a couple thousand feet up coming down at over 120 miles per hour.
The idea of having an in town and safe automotive gathering is a good one but between retards, liability and the lack of locations/resources it isn't going to happen.

Right...i am aware of this....just a fun little idea instead of driving to BFE to race at BMP or risking a ticket or jail near here....I know that they did something like this in California...but if the city wants to crack down on street racing the answer is right in front of them...
