Two totally different animals. If this will be a vehicle you will be driving to work everyday then id recommend against the jeep

One of my buddies back in high school had a Wrangler.... 17mpg on the highway, tire roar, and you'll go partially deaf driving over 50mph from the wind noise. That's before you notice the complete lack of security, zero back seat room, and non-existent storage space. Too much to deal with on a daily basis just for the cool-factor.
The VR6 would make an excellent daily driver.

VR6 in my opinion. It gets better gas mileage, you can carry people and stuff with you, and they are a lot of fun. Wranglers are fun too, but the two are totally different vehicles for different purposes.

The vr6, a jeep takes too much for it to be worthy of doing anything fun with it, there not bad stock, just too plain and wimpy looking.

Wrangler: impractical, fun to drive in nice weather, girls seem to like them.
Jetta: practical, #1 car preferred by homosexuals in the country (actually saw that in an article so I'm not making it up.
If I were, say, still in high school or something I would probably go with the Wrangler (lift kit, bigger tires, snorkel, bars, etc). If it were me now (23 and working) I would choose the Jetta... and no I am not a homosexual. But I wouldn't mind having a Wrangler as a fun spare car.

Plus the VR6 has potential to be pretty fast and fun.
