Shop to replace DOHC valve guide seals

Shop to replace DOHC valve guide seals

Can anyone recommend a shop to replace valve guide seals on a DOHC 4 cylinder? I've heard that this can be done w/o taking the head off, just have to find the shop with the equipments to do so.

If the seals are shot its likely that the valve guides are too.

Why not just do it yourself? All you need is an oven and a valve guide tool

We use National Cylinder Head. Never did it on a OHC motor before, But id imagine youd have to remove the cams, rockers arms etc. Compress the spring remove the keeper and pull spring and retainer. Replace seal, reinstall spring/retainer/keeper. Oh yea dont forget to fill the cylinder with compressed air so the valve doesnt fall out.

^ Thats exactly what I had in mind Jeremy. Nat'l Cylinder Head huh? Im gonna look their number up, thanks. Frank, I dont want to pull the head, if I do that I might as well snatch the entire engine to make things easy.
