I read that in awe of the engineering that went into it. They've really hit one out of the park with the LS7, I don't think they missed a single detail in making that one of the most bad-assed production engines out there.
That is probably the most impressive, domestic powerplant ever built for a daily driven street car. The materials and engineering that went into its design are nothing short of incredible. Why Chevy can't filter some of this engineering effort into its lower rung cars is beyond me. So much of the Chevy line-up is completely awful, the new Z06 almost seems like a car created by a different company. If I had the means, I would pick up a new Z06 without hesitation. I'm betting that 500hp number will end up being WHP in the end.
