What's the difference between an open/closed deck block?

Just a quick note. Benson uses Darton sleeves. It's their sleeving process that you spend your money on. There are a couple companies I would trust sleeving my block. Golden Eagle, AEBS, Benson, Darton and ERL Performance.

These companies have different configurations for different setups and blocks. Some are closed, some are open, etc.

I agree. From what you told me a long time ago about Benson's sleeves I never would of thought about sending my block to Benson's. Earl Laskey said Mr Benson fired all the employees that were doing his machine work and things have turned around. I can only take his word that it's true.
