where can i get a good engine stand?

If 'good' is not that big of a requirement you can probably find a pretty cheap stand at a place like harbor freight.

well, they hold the engine.
most parts places have cheap ones that work just fine.
or harbor freight.
unless you plan on rebuilding engines for a living, the cheap ones will do just fine.

i got mine at advance for like 30 bucks and built my 4.3 on it and a friend built his 3.0 supra on it.. so yeah, they work fine
