intake question

hey if it is a 2 piece intake, that includes a rubber reducer is it possible to put a hole in the reducer and set the sensor there?

i wouldnt do that the rubber will just ripp more and more as time goes on....

so would that be the squecking noise i et a 5k RPM? it seems like it thats what it is, either sucking air or timing belt is squexking, lol, i dont have CAI

Honestly, the right way to do this is to drill right into that pretty chrome mandrel bent tubing, throw a plastic or rubber seat (might have to fabricate one) in there, and seal it off with some kinda heat-resistant sealent. Again, I'm not sure as to the specific layout of the '94 Corolla, but I'm guessing you've got some room under the hood. Pick a spot where there isn't too much crowding the sensor, espically things that might produce excess heat, and mark off a hole. Drilling right into the side of it will probably be the best angle to put the sensor in.

cool ok, i'll just drill into the intake i guess. was trying to avoid that but doin things the right way once is always best. thx everyone for the input
