Default Machine shops around here?

I was going to take my block over to Engine Lab of Tampa to get it worked on, but they're far and have pretty inconvenient hours. Is there anywhere around here who does good work? Also, I need to get my Fuelie heads worked, anybody around here do good head work?

I was probably going to use Cylinder Head Exchange for my heads, just wanted to hear something good about them.

Carl's doesn't answer the phone.

Garrett, can you tank my block and check it for cracks? If so, we might have to do some business.

no , you would need to magnaflux the block. I know some very experienced people that could do it. Of course the people are out of state. What kind of block is it?

It's a '65 327 block from a Corvette. I'm not gonna ship it out of state because that's retarded. There has to be somewhere local that can at least pressure test it or something.

What about Southern Style Racing in Pinellas Park? They did my headwork, and I'm very happy. They seem to specialize in V8 stuff, since that is mostly what I saw lying around their shop.
