If you aren't an idiot, and you don't just stick the vacuum line in the can and wait, you'll be alright. Put 1/3 can in a cup, tilt the cup sideways and slowly feed it into the motor via a vacuum hose.

The way I see it, if your engine needs it, then it'll probably help. My friend just bought a car with 226k miles and the Seafoam treatment increased vacuum by about 2 inHG.

I used it a while back. I used a vacuum hose from the intake manifold. I didn't notice a difference after running it through the motor. The car smoked A LOT once the stuff got into the engine, but stopped after a few minutes.

used it on the car, it gave mild smoke, and i didn't really feel much different, it did help me find an exhaust leak though

on the other hand, i put some in the oil 500 miles before i changed it, and when i changed the oil, the oil had chunks of crap in it, so i think it did some good
